Do I Need a Mermaid Course?

Though mermaiding appears to be relatively simple, there’s a lot to learn about safety, how your body behaves underwater, and best use of mermaid equipment. Mermaid diving is a creative expression you enjoy in the water, and most novice ‘mermaids’ find it’s an enjoyable challenge that they readily master.

The course does involve swimming in and under water, so your MFI Mermaid Instructor will orient you to skills and guidelines that, first and foremost, prevent problems and reduce risk, and second, help you enjoy and get the most out of mermaid diving.

Courses Available

Basic Mermaid

Course Level: M

An immersive experience of mermaid life for absolute beginners!

	Duration:	2 Hours
	Age:	6 years old and above
	Max Depth:	Shallow end of pool where participants can stand.
	Location:	Pool
	Pre-requisites:	Absolute beginners are welcomed!
	Additional Info:	Course Content: 1 theory session + 1 pool session

Advanced Mermaid

Course Level: M1

First step of transformation into performing mermaids. Participants will undergo structured mermaid skills learning, with static poses and dynamic routines.

	Duration:	10 Hours
	Age:	12 years old and above
	Max Depth:	Max. at 6m (Usually will be held in up to 3.6m deep pool)
	Location:	Pool
	Pre-requisites:	Able to swim at least 25m without swimming aids.
	Additional Info:	Course Content: 1 theory session + 1 studio session + 3 pool sessions. Inclusive of deep pool access fee.
